Are Joypok DIY kits beginner-friendly?

Absolutely! Every Joypok kit is designed for beginners and comes with step-by-step tutorials, so you can start needle felting with confidence and joy.

What’s included in each kit?

Each all-in-one kit includes premium wool, felting needles, a work mat or base, small accessories, and online tutorial access. Everything you need is inside the box.

How long does a project take?

Most Joypok DIY kits can be completed within 2–4 hours, depending on your pace and design complexity — just relax, poke, and enjoy.

How can I make my felt piece smoother?

Keep felting gently but consistently until the surface feels firm and the fibers blend together. You can also add a thin outer layer of wool for a clean, soft finish.

If you need more help, feel free to visit our Other Tutorial page for extra tips and techniques.

Why does my felted piece look rough?

Your wool may not be fully felted yet. Keep poking gently and consistently, and avoid pushing the needle too deeply. As the fibers tighten and blend, the surface will become smoother.
You can also check our "More Tutorials" on the homepage for technique tips.

How do I know if the wool is fully felted?

Give your felted shape a gentle squeeze — if it feels firm, holds its shape, and slowly bounces back with light elasticity, the felting is complete. Soft or easily deformed areas usually need more poking.

How can I estimate the right amount of wool?

Roll the wool tightly into a ball and squeeze it.
The squeezed size is roughly 80% of the final felted size.
This helps prevent using too much or too little wool.

Can I wash my finished wool felt creation?

Washing is not recommended. Wool naturally repels dirt and rarely becomes heavily soiled.
For dust or minor spots, gently wipe with a slightly damp tissue instead of fully washing.
